## What GeraLens Does

GeraLens eliminates the gap between seeing something and booking the right service. Traditional flows require the user to know which app to open, search for the right service, and navigate a booking form. GeraLens collapses this to a single camera tap.

### Core Capabilities

**Visual Recognition**
- Food identification: recognises dishes, ingredients, cuisine types → routes to GeraEats
- Medical visual triage: rashes, swelling, injuries → routes to GeraClinic with visual context attached
- Home maintenance: broken pipes, damaged wiring, cracked walls → routes to GeraHome with issue type pre-filled
- Product recognition: identifies products from photos → routes to GeraMarket with matching results
- Property: exterior photos → routes to GeraRent with estimated property type and size
- Agricultural: crop disease, soil condition, pest identification → routes to GeraFarm

**On-Device Processing**
- Computer vision model runs entirely on-device (CoreML on iOS, TensorFlow Lite on Android)
- Images never leave the device unless the user explicitly shares for a booking
- No image storage by default; user can opt in to save bookings with photo context
- Works offline for recognition; requires network only to complete booking

**Booking Integration**
- Recognised context pre-fills the relevant Gera booking form
- User reviews pre-filled details, confirms, and books in one tap
- GeraMind integration: GeraLens reads stored preferences to further personalise the booking
- GeraVoice integration: user can speak additional context after visual recognition

**Augmented Reality Overlay (iOS/Android)**
- Live camera mode: real-time service suggestions overlaid on live feed
- Point at a restaurant → see GeraEats menu overlay
- Point at a building → see GeraRent listing overlay if property is listed

## Privacy Architecture

### On-Device Processing
- All image analysis runs locally using compressed on-device models
- Model sizes: iOS (45MB CoreML), Android (38MB TFLite)
- No image data sent to GeraLens servers during recognition
- Network request made only when user taps "Book" — sends structured intent, not image

### Image Sharing (Opt-In)
- Medical bookings: user prompted to share image with GeraClinic doctor (explicit consent)
- Home services: user prompted to share image with service provider (explicit consent)
- Consent recorded and stored; user can revoke and request deletion at any time

### Data Retention
- Recognition results: not stored (ephemeral, session-only)
- Booking records: stored in the relevant vertical's booking history
- Shared images: stored per the receiving vertical's policy; link provided to delete

### Image Analysis
- POST /analyse — Analyse an image. Body: image (base64 or multipart, max 5MB). Returns: recognised_category, confidence, suggested_vertical, pre_fill_data
- POST /analyse/live — Streaming analysis for live camera feed. Returns: server-sent events with per-frame results

### Booking Handoff
- POST /handoff — Create a booking handoff with pre-filled context. Body: vertical, pre_fill_data, image_token (optional). Returns: deep_link to booking form with context pre-loaded

### Authentication
- POST /auth/signup — Create account
- POST /auth/login — Get session token

### Rate Limits
- Image analysis: 60 req/min per user (on-device model used client-side; this endpoint is for server-side integrations)
- Handoff: 30 req/min per user
